Travelling to Nigeria in December could be very expensive if you have not bought your plane tickets months ahead. Most people that have plans to travel during this month of the year normally buy their flight tickets some three months prior to December. Now, trying to buy or find cheap tickets at this time would be very diffcult because last minute tickets are the most expensive. Still, with some little work, one can still get cheap tickets.

I would advise that you keep looking on the internet every day to see if there could be a bargain to be had. Moreso, i would advise that you look for flights to Abuja or PortHarcourt, or Kano, and avoid going to Nigeria through Lagos airport, which would be more expensive than those mentioned above.

Another advise is to go for non-stop flights. Though staying ten to eleven hours in flight from the U.S. to Nigeria might be uncomfortable for some, but it could be the only way to get cheap ticket.

And beware that this is also the time that people are scammed by fake travel sites. Do not buy any tickets from sites that are not well known or do not have a 1-880 number to call. Just be vigilant with any transaction you made online. Good luck!
