This practice has been over-looked by the Nigerian government until Former Minister, Fani-Kayode, raised the issues with the airline companies that operate in Nigeria. However, this does or would not stop these airliners from seeking out other ways to exploit Nigerians, especially those that live in Nigeria.
So, for those in Nigeria that wants to travel out on a low airfare, here are some tips for you: Always try to get your tickets paid for outside of Nigeria; with this, some of the descriminatory charges would be avoided. Apart from avoiding being taken advantage of by the airliners,you will benefit from flights price structures and fluctuations that take place in this industry, which i believe does not alway reflects on flights tickets bought in Nigeria.
